October 9, Thursday - 7:00-8:30 p.m. FREE AUTHOR TALK with James McBride in the sanctuary of the Asylum Hill Congregational Church, 814 Asylum Ave., Hartford. A jazz performance with the author and his band will follow. Free parking available in the lot adjacent to the church.

October 9, Thursday - 5:30-7:00 p.m. TICKETED AUTHOR RECEPTION for James McBride. Light fare and live music. Tickets $35.00 per person and can be purchased by calling (860) 695-6342. Drew Hall, Asylum Hill Congregational Church, 814 Asylum Ave., Hartford. Free parking available in the lot adjacent to the church.
