Publisher of QBR, The Black Book Review, founder of the Harlem Book Fair and author of “Sacred Fire: The QBR 100 Essential Black Books”, Max Rodriguez will share his work in building readers in diverse communities. QBR, now over ten years old, was the first book review exclusively dedicated to books about the Africana experience. Hartford has been added to the growing list of cities (Boston, San Diego, and Chicago) to host the Harlem Book Fair in 2006. Rodriguez will join the Library in announcing the title of the 2006 One Book for Greater Hartford and kicking off a season of related programs.
